when i installed my W7 into my box ( like 7-8 months ago) I can't remember if i hooked up the + to the black terminal cup and the - to the red terminal,
my question is if i hooked this up for a few minutes would this be very bad for the sub? i am powering with about 475-500 watts.

it will sound bad, but not damage the sub....
it just makes the sub play out of phase... if ur amp has a phase shift button, u can use that with the subs wired the way u describe, then it will play normall..

yea , but it's a job and a half just to take the W7 out because of it's mounting procedures.( the o ring, and the silver clip that goes over the o ring.)

just take a some wire and put them to ur sub outs, put the wire on a 9v sqaure battery, the sub will rise or sink, u want it to rise, so what ever u put the pos and neg. to on the bettery will be the same as u put it on the amp

and that is more accurate then looking at the positive and negative symbols on the speaker

so the 9V battery won't damage the sub?

no, dont hold it there, just to see what way the sub goes with the pos and neg.

yea.. dont hold it there

just give it a tap

the longer you hold it there the hotter the voice coil will get

i think the 9v would ruin the voice coil before the battery went dead
