the links dont work. but by reading it sounds like you have 2 type r 4ohm dvc subs and 2 alpine m450's? if so your friends right, you need to wire each amp to one sub for a 2ohm load. the way you wire them depends on the vc config. of your sub. this will show you:

http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html

but i can tell you those amps will be underpowering the subs. and why do you have a capacitor?

just look under the 1 subwoofer section on the link and follow the guide for the 1 4ohm dvc sub and hook each sub to each amp, to give each a 2ohm load.

well you can use it but it want give you any dramatic results, and unless you have a big enough alt. then it's only going to put an even bigger strain on it. i would just return it or sell it.

hey bro just wondering i bought this book from barnes n noble called car stero cookbok second edition, looking at the wiring guides why does it tell me to gook up a 4 ohm dvc sub using all 4 ohm plug things? is this book wrong? it shows hooking up both positive plugs from the amp to the sub and both negative plugs from the sub to the amp for a 1 channel amp to 1 dvc 4 ohm sub. the other picture is a 2 channel amp diagram showing just a straight line from each ohm to the amp so 2 pos's and 2 neg's going into the amp holes. is this book wrong?
