this is kind of a dumb question but can i run 12" arsenals at 1 ohm i read somewhere u cant and what wires should i use for a 1500 watt amp and what do i need to do to upgrade my electrical system to power them
If you get dual 4 ohm arsenals, they they can be wired to 1 ohm. Is your amp 1500 rms, or 1500 max? If its 1500 rms, you will probably need to get a HO alternator, and a new battery too.
you can run 1500+ watt amp off a stock alt it is just hard on it. if you have a small car i would say upgrade but if you have a bigger suv or truck you should be fine as long as you dont plan on playing at full volume all the time. i am currently running a 1600wrms amp off my original stock alt on a '93 ford explorer with 237,000 mi and have had no problems(knock on wood). i do have a battery bank though so that helps a little.
if you have a pair you can run it at 1ohm, or buy two amps and run each at 2ohm. since you already have the subs it just depends on if you want one amp or two.
