Anyone know anything about the new JVC HX series 5-way 6x9s? Im trying to find a good set for a good price. It need to perform well to hang with a 600 watt sub system in a quad cab ram
6X9's in general won't sound a good as a round speaker. so look for an adapter plate and fit a 5.25 of 6.5 inch speaker in there instead.
also, 3-, 4-, 5, ...ect way coaxial speakers are a waste. you get nothing else from one of thoes that you don't get from a normal 2 way coaxial speaker. its basically all marketing. you just get crappy "super tweeters" and "mid range"...don't waste your money.
if you really want some good sound, you shoul dlook into a set of components and a good external amp for them. thats the way to go.
changing out your stock speakers for new aftermarket coaxials, but keeping the same power source, won't make it any louder.
