audiovox makes a good product. the only problem is that they are a royal pain to install. All the problems I've seen with the units have been install related. Make sure you get that system installed professionally, with warranty. What you will problably find is that once in any professional shop they will have a much better product, more range, more durrable remotes, ect; that they can offer at the same price as what you paid for that audiovox.

Installing security system is not super difficult but it is time consuming the first time like a few days or a weekend. Be patient. All alarm companies are quite amateur at install documenting, often technical illiterate. But reliability should be number one.

Just because it is professionally installed by certified shop is NO guarentee it will be done correctly. Installers are not degreed. They mess up often, but they can install it much quicker than your first intall.

Always verify their install if done at a shop. They neglect switches eg hood, avoid soldering to save time, they often sell secure 'feeling' but not true security. Buyer beware.
