what??

who listens to the radio anyway? lol

i believe that Panasonics are not very good....anything.:-)

i looked at what i thought was their top model....i didn't see any mention of a 24-bit Burr-Brown DAC.....which means it is useless to me:-):-)

and the F.M. tuning is for radio stations that broadcast in HD......how many do oyu know that do that? haha

i looked at the top 4 highest price HU's at the Panasonic site.....and i wasn't very impressed....their top model had like 3 or 4 presets for the HPF and LFP filters....lol

Panasonic has okay FM I suppose. My favorite tuner is Clarion's MagiTune+ tuner. Pioneer's super tuner is also really nice...

And I definitely agree with that. I haven't listened to FM radio intentionally for more than five minutes in the past three years. Digital media is the way to go now.

Believe it or not...

Stock HUs are better than after market HUs, when it comes to radio reception.

Most car manufacturers use aftermarket audio manufacturers to design HUs for them anyways. Sure the stock HUs suck when it comes to anything else, but radio reception is probably their only goal.

i disagree about stock hu being better than after market, now i agree that digital media is the best now days and we all should know that no doubt. but i wasnt comparing fm to cd. also i agree about magitune+tuner delivering great sound, dont get me wrong once i was a big fan of pioneer carrozzeria back in japan but i just wanted to try some other hu and that would be the new clarion

"Stock HUs are better than after market HUs, when it comes to radio reception."

It's fact, mate. Just coz you disagree with it doesn't make it wrong :-) (and yes, I'm sure there's an exception to the rule somewhere, but in general it's true).

I can believe that.
People who spend $300-$1,200 on CD Players to listen to the radio are wasting their money in my book.:-) lol ......seriously though.

I believe it too, and yeah, why buy aftermarket anything if they're going to listen to the radio? Especially if they're going to use it for AM...

I propose to Alpine, Pioneer and others to stop putting radio receivers in their high-end units, because it's waste of money:-)

to be honest i only listen to fm quickly, just to hear if any newcomers like new songs by an artist so if i like it then i would purchase the album, thats the only reason why i would listen to fm, but i do agree that too much advertisement sucks, from now on i wont listen to fm anymore and digital is the way to go just like what you guys said, peace out

I agree with MRSQ. I only listen to the radio just to hear if anything new came out. I dislike news (its overrated). I listen to CDs and Mp3s and WMAs. No IPOD yet. Im doing bad with finances lately.

Muddy and Jexx, ............ lol ........ so true ......... lol. Good points.

Maris, I wouldnt delete them completely. Its always nice to have options.
