I have spent a lot of time on this box and it is ALMOST finished. As you can see i have the jl symbol in the middle of the front of the box. I am going to put that silver peice of aluminum buhind it, so there will be a silver jl symbol. I hate it when the caulk is white and visible, so i got crystal clear so you won't see it. I spent most of my time insetting the top two plexiglass peices with a milling machine. I did this so it will be flush with the wood. I did the same to the port holes and by the way, the ports are huge! I have a big peice of plexiglass so oyu can see everything on the inside. I also put red neon and it looks sooo good. I made it to sell, and i can cut the ports more if i need to tune it more. Just in case someone buys it for their w6 or w3 or w7. I also used vinal, which IMO looks way nicer than carpet. I will probobly be finished in an hour or two, so keep looking. And tell me what you guys think!Upload

Hey Zepcoe i don't really know what you are asking. The emblem doesn't take up much space. My dad went to work today, so it might wait until he gets here to put the metal in. But i will work on putting the plexi in and ill show you pics. BTW the plexi looks better than i thought t would have.

sweeeet......I think what Zepcoe is trying to ask is that are you using the JL enblem as your ports? If so, how did you know how big to make it?

Well, i didn't use 12's beause i didnt have any. Surprisingly, it sounds really good. It is tuned to 24, and it gets pretty low. Im afraid to turn it up because of the plexiglass. The only bad part is the back peice of plexiglass makes noise, so im going to use a brace, but it will look fine. Upload

does that plexi flex when you play it?

look on ebay or other supplier sites for thicker plexiglass. this site may help... ebay has awesome prices if you can find what you want though.

also, fyi, polycarbonate, or lexan, is stronger.

wow thanks for that link. Yeah i used lexan before but it is real expensive. It started flexing because the screws were too tight. And if they weren't tight it would have air holes. KEep telling me what you think of the box. And tell me if i should improve on something.
