im building a box for a friends Punch P2 subs(10") in the specs it says they recomend either a .65cuft sealed box or a 1.25cuft ported box tuned to 40hz...now my question is what size box(s) should i really put them in, its giong in a offroading jeep so he jsut wants it to be loud so he can hear the subs when the tops off, so i figured i should build it ported, but i dont think i got enough room for a 1.25 box for each sub, i can fit about .99cuft(for each sub), would that be big enough to port the box's? or should i keep them sealed....thank in advance

You can put both subs in one big box that is 2.5 net, But it should boom fine in a smaller box if space is an issue.

Specs are baisicly just a start point That should not be strayed too far from for best response.

if space is an issue yes. 1.25 ported is just net volume. it will acutally be larger when you add port disp. so if you cant do 1.25cuft ported then go with .75 (each) sealed. make a 2 chamber box.
