Out of the blue, my car alarm has stopped responding to the remote.

Its weird, I had no battery low warnings - but changed the battery in case and thought that was that -- but it had no effect!

The car just remains alarmed and immobilised!!!

I unlock the car (with the key as the alarm wont turn off) then the sirens blare. I insert the key into the ignition and turn (if the car is immobilised normally at this point i'd press the main button to de-immobilise)... when i press the remote button nothing happens at all... the car is just acting like it has no remote!

no ignition lights come on (e.g. handbrake, oil light etc.), no headlights work, the clock works, the stereo bazaarly works... and the siren sounds fine so it isnt the battery of the car...

please please help!!!

my car is left in a crap area and it's going to get harmed :-(

Any thowts?
