Hi guys, i'm planning to buy an HO Alt. and i'm thinking of Ohio Gen, and i was talking with my dealer and he told me that he want to check with Ohio if they can make a HO Alt. that can suply 16 volt. my question is, is it a good idea to go with 16volt for daily or can it damage my amps and my car electrical parts? or can a car handle more that 14.4 volt? what's the maximum volt a car can handle? i have a Toyota Corolla. so guys should it be a good idea or not, will 16 volt be dangerous? thnx guys, Aruman.
heck yeah 16 will burn up alot of stuff dont do it....unless u run a dual alt setup....and have the 16V run just amps....but still not a lot of amps can do that...an its just unpractiacal to do that......ur computer and everything else in the car would be destroyed if u run 16v through it
