im pretty sure the bass gets louder at lower frequencies with a bigger box. as long as its not bigger than what the speaker reccomends. bigger i mean by square feet

the Type Rs are some of the most underrated SQl subs I think. They aren't they internet rave sub right now but they are very good performers. They do better with more power and a good enclosure. The AA's will not be heads above the Type R and the SQ is right there with the AA.

from the setups i've heard the cvrs are louder. However the type r's are capable of handling way more power than what they are rated for so if u are comfortable with pushing them to the limits then get the type r's. But if you are on a budget just go ahead and get the cvrs. You can get 2 15s on ebay with a one year warrenty for around 300 shipped.

a 12" type R blows a 12" type X, X was meant for Sq and SQ only but they do get quite loud iam hitting 134db with 1 10" but 1 10" type R would hit 138 140ish they are loud i just heard a 12" in ported it was really loud closer to 140 so if u want loud go with R if u like quality the type X is good for that
