Need help matching subs to amp

a friend of mine just bought the JBL A6000GTI amp...i think its a bit excessive...but he wants to know what pair of subs he should put with it...

...here are the specs...

he planned on making a wall in the back of his durango to power 4 MTX 9500 15's wired to an 8ohm load so the actual output on the amp would be somewhere close to 4000wrms...and since he works at a local mobile audio shop he got the amp for cost which i believe was $1500. i guess his philosophy is that $1500 for one amp is cheaper than buying 4 MTX 91002 amps that cost $500 each plus all the wiring that goes with it.

like i said i think its a bit over kill but his point of saving $500 could be worth it...i just wanted to hear what people have to say about it.
