i want to replace my current system and get something that is a bit louder.

i am running 2 cerwin vega stroker 12's in a slot ported box with a MTX thunder 8502 amp and am hitting 151.6 db's but i want LOUDER...i want to be able to hit at least 160 db's but there is a catch...the subs have to fit in the trunk of a 2004 Honda Civic EX coupe and be removable...

i have heard good things about brahmas, xxx's, and 9500's but i kinda like the capablility of the strokers...

any suggestions

was just thinking that^^

what's your budget and what size subs you want?

maybe mt's, 9900's, or csx's?

i have about $2000 to spend on the total for the system and i have heard that a single 15 can hit 160db's if powered properly and is in the right box

if i had that $ to spend i'd try out a 15" or 18" mt. just not sure the price since everyone says re jacked their prices up.

hear both the si mags and rl-s are great subs to.

sorry i forgot to say that i hooked up my old amp today when i went to get them metered...normally i use the mtx 8502 with my single mtx 9500 12 but when i put the strokers back in my car i used my old directed 1500d (2400 watts max, 1500rms at 1 ohm) so each sub is getting 750 watts rms since they are wired to a 1 ohm load...

you might be wondering why i put them back into my car...i was using them as my home theater sub to go with my 80 inch ceiling mount projector and 7.1 channel surround...i know its a but much but i wanted to feel the explosions rather than just hear them!!!

and i dont care what size sub is in the back but i absolutely MUST be able to remove the sub!!!

yeah you read it right 151 db with 2 12's and 1500wrms

the guy used an AudioControl SA-3055 meter with an AudioControl SPL-180 mic

and yeah the guy said that i was the only pair of 12's to make his top 10 list in the 2-3 sub category of people metered at his shop
