yeah, i measured some of old generic 4 gauge i have and the dia of the actual wire was about .22 inches. then i measured the kolossus and it was about .34 dia. and they are both called 4 gauge.

kolossus is over-stranded wire.. for example, the kolossus zero gauge has about 1,000 more strands (25% bigger) than standard zero gauge.

That explains why I had a really hard time getting the Kolossus 4 guage into the 4 guage input on my amps :D

sounds like they just rate wires a count higher...4awg is marketed as 6awg 0awg is market as 2 awg....to make them look like they have "better" wires when in fact they are just bigger. Same as overrating an amp its 1000rms when it puts out close to 400...is all about marketing.

Their wires are very good....never had even a hint of a problem with them....and I would hazard to guess that they are quite a bit cheaper than Tsunami

NO! it does not suck, it is just oversized. i looked around for wire and they were about the cheapest unless you get welding wire, but that comes in 25' incriments. if i remember it is $1.04 per foot for kolossus 4 gauge, which is about as big as normal 2 gauge.

Knu Konceptz was alot cheaper than any other online store I researched.

I went with the Eko Kable for my 1/0 GA and the Kolossus for my 4 GA runs. It should be noted that the Kolossus Kable isn't "round" like other power wires I've used. It's sort of flattened out, in fact. I can see how it might be difficult to fit it into the terminals on amps, dist. blocks, fuse holders, etc. My Eko Kable fits just fine into all of my terminals.

unless you just really want 'pretty' wire...are great option is to just go w/ welding cable.

its cheaper and just as good.

for example:

25ft 1/0 Kolossus---$68.74

25ft 1/0 red welding cable---$45.93
25ft 2/0 red welding cable---$54.73
25ft 3/0 black welding cable---$65.85 <---huge f*cking wire!!! ($66.60 for red 3/0)

btw...after dealing w/ welding cable, i will never go back to 'car audio' wire.

the only problem with the welding wire is if you only want like 15ft and then you have an extra 10ft of wire that you paid for that you wont use.

yep...thats the only draw back.

but w/ 25ft, you should be able to get your power wire, big-3, and ground.
