hey guys i was looking into buying either the alpine type r comps. or the AA midbass speaker and some nice tweets from them.

i know if i hook the alpines up it will be with the included passive crossover.

heres the problem, if i get the AA set people at caraudio.com said their awesome but i will need to either buy a passive crossover or set them up active, but how would i set them up active?

their going to be ran at 75rms off a A6004t

Unless you know how to build crossovers and figure out what crossover points and slopes to use, you should just buy a component system that includes midbass, tweeter, and crossover.

which i dont but how about this

would i be able to get the AA woofer and run it off the high pass on my amp and then just run tweets out of the stock location/wire off the HU

or do you guys think i would be better getting the type r comp. set.

i want good midbass and i know the AA has that

The problem is that you need to match the midbass to the correct tweeter, not to mention figure out crossover points and slopes.
I'm pretty sure MO had the ID Chameleon set and said it had a nice strong midbass. You'd be much better off with going with a component set.
