RE's prices shot up
the price of the materials needed to make all their stuff went up by 38 % ...so their prices have raised by probably even more than that

i just called for an SX 12....she said around $490

I just got some more info about RE.

They are stopping the 'direct pricing' deal that we are all used to. The only way you can buy direct from them now is if you pay MSRP, that is why the prices you get on the phone are out the roof.

I have a friend that is a dealer and he sells SX15 for $370. (if i remember correctly)

RE/USamps is trying to protect their dealers.

(just think about it, it you were a dealer and people could call up RE and buy subs cheaper than you can offer them for...wouldnt you be mad?)

$1000 for an MX 12, $1600 for an XXX 12, $490 for a 12" SX.........NO ****IN' way.

Sorry, but in no way is the SX anywhere near $490 in performance.

wow thats extremely weird, cuz my friend just called a local dealer out here in LA and hes getting a MX 12 shipped to his house for $550.

oh and RE changed their number. i called the usual number and some lady answered and said it was the corporate office, and that RE had moved the technical or manufacturing HQ to Cali.

??????

Got it on eBay. Straight from recone and local seller so no shipping. Guess I just got lucky. Too bad I still don't have it running.
