i have an alpine 7874 head unit with 2 pre outs. right now I have an alpine m200 running from the bottom pre out that controls the sub woofer settings into a 12inch subwoofer. I want to run another amp into a seperate 12inch subwoofer. If I ran a y adapter does anyone know if this will work to power another sub ?

the amp already running your first 12" will have a rca out. run a set of rca's from your first amp into the rca "in" of the amp your are adding.only if the amp you are adding is another m200.also,jump a remote wire from your first amp to your new one.

thanks loud, i ran a 4 gauge power cable from the battery into a power block. then ran 2 8 gauge wires out of the block into both amps and grounded them with 4 gauge. I did however run the remote wire from one to the other. these amps unfortantly do not have an rca in. Works and sounds great.
