I wish someone could actually hear the jackhammer. As far as we know it could've only been 130db, but i think it has potential to be loud. I wouldnt ever pay that price for it tho, or use anything that weighs that much.
Have there been any shows or comps with ppl using the jackhammer?

When u think about it, if it takes over 100k watts to get up to 180db's, and u add 3db's for ever time u double the power. the craphammer would sux....Someone correct if im wrong

"its rediculous.... what i thought was wierd is that its excursion looks less than that of a w7"

The larger the diameter (surface area/displacement), the less excursion that's required to effect equal output.

I'm sorry, but any fcking sub that big and uses that much power I highly doubt it doesn't put out like a wh0re! It may be highly impractical but it doesn't take much to make a motor to move a diaphram now wether it sounds good or not, who knows but it has to move some are for sure. JMHO...Polo..

lmao 130+ dBs with one 22 inch sub? I hit like 144+ with two alpine type r's and a orion 2500d. Jackhammer needs a nice big ported enclosure....

It's only 4" larger in diameter than an 18", which people consider generally common. The thing that's impractical is the immense weight of the damn thing.

im not denying that its loud, it has 2.5" peak to peak 22" cone...do the math, but 7g for the sub alone, probably another 2500 for amps...value? lol

"This 22" subwoofer handles 5,000 watts RMS"

bahhhh

dude 18s are common, 4 extra inches on a 22" oooohhh .....

its 18s that will kill this and take more power!
TREO SSX 18, hell the 15 can take that pwr...
TREO CXT is rated @ 5000rms.. it will take double or more...
