15's are 3" bigger so more space is used (obvious)...

More power might b nesescary for the 15(bigger amp)

15's most of the tim can hit a deeper tone louder(more surface area)

just realy prefferance of whut u like....no sub is better than the other it just the aplication that it is used in..

"15's most of the time can hit a deeper tone louder" I like that statement its not so much that 15's are way deeper than 12's its that they can usually hit the lows louder. also 12's for the most part have better SQ than 15's of course the type of sub is going to make a difference. 15's work better than 12's in singles applications. you can usually get more out of 1 15 vs 1 12. depending on box and power supply.
