Damit i think i just blew my amp or something need assistance

I was hitting so hard and i was listing to throw it up and right as it started to thump the subs stoped ithe subs are like a week old 12" eternals i have a Pioneer HU i had it set to (0) on sub str. and bass controll was about 1/4 the way up i dont see how it happend when i got to my house i felt the subs andd they were not hot and did not have that burnt smell to them but when i felt the amp it was a bit hot. Whwat do you guys think? do you think when it cools down it will play again ?

did you check the fuse? maybe you blew a fuse or something.

were you bumping for a long time and then it stopped? cause i got the impression that it stopped as soon as the bass part of the song came on. you know that song has like 50 seconds of him just shouting until the bass actually comes on.

If I am not mistaken arent eternals 1100 RMS so you are underpowering those subs to start off with.

are they 2 or 4 ohm and how are they wired to the amp? I hope they are 4 ohm .

The fuse to the amp is fine, but now when i turn on the car, my subs pop once. WTF?

They are 4 ohm and the amp puts out 1800 watts...it is underrated

Check your CH wire it may have come loose if it was pounding as hard as you say.

does anyone know what that poping means in the sub it doesnt sound good. its just one pop right when i turn the power to my car on.

ya chad i had played that song for about 4 min then restarted it because im tring to break them in and as soon as the bass dropped in at around 56 sec it hit like 1 note then subs just stoped

re check all your connections to make sure they are secure. like your ground and sh!t.

Try turning off your HU before turning on the car to see if it still pops if it does you can rule out the HU.

maybe your overloading the amp. try disconnecting one of the woofers and see what happens

As long as you didnt clip or burn the voice coil/s the subs should be ok.

alright this is the situation i did what you said i turned of the Hu and turned power on and subs didnt pop but when i turned HU on they poped also amp says protect on it i read what it means but half of it i didnt uderstand what does protect mean and do you guys know what my problem is?

protect light means there is something shorting out some where and the amp has a self protect mode when it sences something going wrong it activates it

check all your ground and power wires make sure you dont have a cut in them

ya dude i had a friend wire it up and he wired it up backwards so all the power was going from the amp to the sub back to the amp and FRIED it. Its ok tho its a learning expierence. Any one know a good amp that will power (2) SSI 12's?
