Hey, I'm looking for a new sub woofer.

I already have an amp which I'd like to use.
The amp is an Alpine V12 MRV-F307, it's pretty old but still works fine.
It put's out 80w RMS x 2 @ 4ohm bridged.. So i'd like to get a sub which is DVC so I can utilize both bridged channels getting a total of 160w RMS.

I'm wondering what sub would be recomended in a sealed encloser 12". Not looking to spend too much but give me what you got!

I'm looking at the RE RE, but it's a little expensive.

I'm also considering a Phoenix Gold Octane R12d

How's this sub?

I'm mainly going for SQ, but also ofcourse some decent SPL.

System:
Pioneer DEH-MP680P
CDT KA-61 (frontstage)
Alpine MRV-F307

I have a pair of those re's in sealed box and they sound clean and tight. They can get loud as well and sound good. The aa assassins are like $75 for the 12's. I dont have the assassins but some people on this forum do so they might be of more help. Heres the link for the assassins

So you like the RE's huh? just got a job, so money is not as much of a problem no more.

The only thing which I need the sub to have is DVC, because my amp does 2x 80w rms so i'd need to connect each voice coil to 80w to get 160w total.

Thanks.

They are dual 4ohm voic coils. If you want to look at them they are on reaudio.com . I bought mine off e-bay for $140 with shipping brand new. You have to call them for pricing but i'm pretty sure they are like $70.

Marco, I meant the assasins weren't dual vc's as far as I could see.. maybe i'm wrong I didn't get to look at them too much (real busy right now :-()

Thanks for the list Trevor, i'm gonna check it out.

My amp is bridgable, but its a 4 channel amp, so its 80w RMS x 2 bridged.

you should be albe to get the assassin and bridge your amp and run it to it its single 4ohm so your amp can handle it if its bridgeable
