i want to get a sub that no one really has so my final two are either a 12 inch RE SE or a Crystal Comp 12. the crystal comp will be paired with probially a 500/1 since its svc 4 ohm. the SE will be paired with the kicker 600.1, orion 1200D (this way i can wirre it at 1 ohm 1200 rms if i want to add another sub later on), or jl 500/1.

both will be in a sealed box
which will have better SQ? and SQL?
also any other suggestions on amps

okay i will probially go with the crystal cmp

is there another amp better than the 500/` that will put out 500-600 watts rms @ 4 ohm for around the same price.

also i heard the 500/1 is a little underrated and puts out 550-600
is this true?

no because they were being underpowerd with 1000 watt rms... did they make comps and comp xs 5-6 years ago?

I would also recommend the Crystal.

While I'm here, how would the SQ compare between the Crystal CMP and the Sound Spliter Rl-p?? Both in sealed boxes to specs??

my budget is about $360 for an amp... and i can get a 500/1 on ebay for about that brand new. is there another amp that will put out 500-600 watts rms @ 4 ohm for about $350. i want an amp that produces very good SQ.

I would give the rl-p's in the low end, but overall the cmp, dont get me wrong the rl-p is great 2

Have u thought about a re 12.1

if u wire it for 4ohms it would send out around 600-700 rms, and u also have the option for an upgrade later

yes but when i get another sub i also want to buy a set of components and amp for them. that amp will be perfect because if its 600 @ 4 it will be 1200 @ 2 so i will be able to keep this amp when i get another sub. does this amp put out good SQ? and how much does it cost?

its underrated so it puts out around 600-700rms @ 4 ohms,, and yes its a great amp, and it cost 390...I would suggest u looking at bigger amps so u could find an amp to suit ur needs, and later an upgrade

since i already have the e1800D would this be a good choice since it puts out 480 watts rms. is this too little for a sub that is rated at 600 watts rms??
