How much would you pay for 2 Alpine Type-R SWR-1242D's???? I am purchasing these tomorrow to put in my car. I still have no clue what amp to push them with...any amp suggestions??
the nine.1 is about $350 shipped, and i think the 12.1 is about $390 shipped, both brand new from company. best bet would be one of those unless you want to buy online or from ebay. i haven't seen the kicker online for less than $430. any brand you prefer or just open to any ideas?
i don't think alpine makes an amp that will push both of those. i have a pair and if you put less than 500 (i'd suggest at least 600wrms) they'll sound horrible. but if you have to have alpine i'd chose either 2 1005's or 605's ran at 2ohms.
