Well i have a very low budget system thats pretty loud(to my friends NOT ME). 2 10" Power Austicks and a Prymind 1600 amp. But this guy in my hood has 2 12" w7's..and im pretty sure he have the JL 1000/1 amp i need to add on to my current system what do you recommend? I was thinking another prymind 1600 amp and a 15" L7? Or 2 12" pioneer dvc's with the prymind 1600 amp. Can someone point me in the right direction.

2 15 inch treo TSxs and an ED nine.1 amp. make a huge ported box and you will be able to beat the W7s in spl...unless the other car as 2 1000/1s. then you would have to upgrade your amps as well.

lol 50-90% is a large gap...im going to have to agree with chad on this one i have the hifonics amp and its nothing special.

also people are saying to put 2000rms to 2 18' subs...idk about what you guys consider a budget system but thats far far from it in my book. anything over 1000-1200watts hes going to need to put in major system upgrades. and still only gain around 2-3 dB.

how much room do you have?
does it matter what size subs?
can you build your own box?
do you have a headunit?
do you want speakers?

4 15" h2's would dam near kill you. i heard 1 15" will do 140 by itself. it would also take another 1500 dollars to power those.

to stay within your budget i'd get 2 elemental design nine.1 amps and 2 15" kicker L7's off ebay and put them in a big box.

i would get the hifonics amp over the crunch amp. why not go 15s if you have the room? 2 15 L7s will beat 2 12W7 in output anyday.

yeah 2 12 L7's would prolly get louder than 2 W7's on one 1000/1, but i would get a different amp than a crunch.

if you are going to be running 1600-2000wrms you are going to need a aftermarket alt. which is another $250. your alt might be able to take 1600 for a while but 2000 would prolly kill it.

um the re12.1 its between 1350-1450wrms and its only $390shipped, i'd buy 2 re12.1's and 2 re sx's 12 or 15's that would probally get louder but his might have better sq.

^^^ That would be really loud.and about 800 in amps alone. To pricey

well what about one re12.1 and one 15 treo tsx, 15 AA havoc,15 re sx, DD 3515, kicker cvx, im sure most of those subs in a NICE ported box could hold their own spl wise with the jl's but the jl's might have better sq.

Baseball1187 is selling his havoc and mb quart raa1000 for $600 for both. The reason he is getting rid of it is because it is too loud. I would contact him man seriously.

2 audiobahn a8000t would prolly put an actual 1400wrms out and you can get 2 brand new off ebay for about $260

They put out less than that. They are rated higher, but if you look at the fuses they use you will see that it is impossible for them to put out 700rms each. I would say expect an actualy 1000rms tops since the fuses can only handle about 600, and they don't ever come close to that.

the a8000t has 60 amps worth of fuses (2x30a) lets say average output from battery is 13 volts(usually more if alt can keep up). volts x amps = watts so 13v x 60a = 780w

and whats wrong with 2 amps?

Wont it have to up grade to 0 gauge? from 4 guage? Plus those blocks I guess nothing. but 1 is always simplier than 2 :-)

no, you can run the same size wire as if you had one amp the only difference is you have to make a distribution block to split the one wire from the battery to each amp, which is very simple. it is very unlikely you will find that many watts for the same price, and you garaunteed wont find a new amp that puts out that much power for anything close.

I guess your right. so 2 A8000t will be more powerful than a Crunch 1600.1?

Silver Member
Username: Sw9152

Post Number: 327

YES! at least twice as powerful because the crunch puts out 1600 dynamic power at 1 ohm which means 1600w peak. the a8000t put out 800wrms and 1600w peak each but are only 2 ohm stable.

pyramid and power acoustic crap will never beat JL Audio in anything but a sounds like sh/it contest.
