Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 573 Registered: Jan-05 | The rl-i has a mounting depth of 5.5 inches. seems like it would fit. |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 574 Registered: Jan-05 | I personaly do not like the way pioneer subs sound. I would recommend the Soundsplinter RL-i's. http://www.ascendantaudio.com/arsenal10specs.html Those are also some nice 10's, just a little more exspensive. |

Silver Member Username: Kenny_hammondPost Number: 135 Registered: Jan-05 | ok let me put it simple i want the jl's but will they fit and what amp should i get i like the way jl sounds but what brand and size amp do i need? |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 577 Registered: Jan-05 | Two jl 10" w3's would fit. use a jl 500/1 amp. |
Silver Member Username: GagePost Number: 134 Registered: Feb-06 | i have a jl 500/1 for sale 275 shipped |
Silver Member Username: Kenny_hammondPost Number: 136 Registered: Jan-05 | will w3 sound good? |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 578 Registered: Jan-05 | They are a decent sounding sub. Won't win any SQ competitions, but sound good. And they have decent output. Two 10" w3's should sound very good in your application. They have a low FS of 23 hertz, so they will play deep. |
Bronze Member Username: Genocyde21Post Number: 15 Registered: Apr-06 | Not only that, u have a pick-up lol. I have one 12'' in my pick-up, 400wrms, and i wonder from time to time if i should sell it and get something less strong |
Silver Member Username: GagePost Number: 137 Registered: Feb-06 | my cuzin has 2 12w3's and a 500.1 and they sound great really deep and pretty loud |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 579 Registered: Jan-05 | The small cabin space in your truck will make it easier to pressurize the cabin. Thus better lows. i just put 2 12" cvr's in a ford ranger. Only 150watts to each sub(guy went cheap on the amp, i just built him a box, CC did the rest) It bumps. This is all due to the high "cabin gain" a pick up will have. |
Silver Member Username: FiberPost Number: 131 Registered: Mar-06 | one of my friends has a 2000 f250 diesel with a box under his back seat with 2 10" w3's and I dont think they sound that good he has a 500/1 jl amp they dont get that loud either but they have a good bit of excursion the box is just a rectangular box not 2 boxes. |
