I recently installed just a cheap amp to a pioneer 12" sub just to get a little more thump out of the car nothing special or any thing but when i turn up the volume the back subs (factory) rattle b/c of the bass i was wondering if these from walmart would be the same as say ordering bass blockers from crutchfield i am kinda new to the whole high pass/low pass filter world so any informating would help
BTW-not really goiing for top notch sound or nething just want to let my sub get a little more kick without killing the other speakers

You want a low pass filter but in my opinion the quickest and easiest approach is bass blockers. Ive used them on numerous factory speakers in times past they work just fine and they are cheap to buy. Just make sure you get the right filter point.
