does any1 know wat size the stock alt is? also i can buy a 130 amp alt for 185 dollars is that worth the money and will it run 1400 watt system?

Go to Autozone.com an search for ur alternator an it will say what amps ur Stock Is rated for an is that 1400rms or max power watts ?

once u get this info come back an let me know an i will give my opinion about if 130 will do the job

but if it is 1400rms then i would recommend Larger then 130..

u might be able to get away with 130 tho altho i doubt it but get back to me on the amp watts info an stock alts amps info

Your 1994 SHO came with a 130 amp from the factory. The standard Taurus came with a 110 amp. You can get up to a 300 amp alternator in a direct bolt on.

nate i seen a woofer wall in a pawn shop in dothan with excessive amperage written on it is your company in dothan thats like a 20 min drive for me

I had a few people tell me that ! It was for 8 10" subs and was finished in blue crushed velvet, right ? I built that for my 1996 grand am - man that thing was loud with 8 10's in the trunk ! How much did they want for it ? was the subs still in it ? Where are you located at / I am in Dothan about 5 miles from the SouthEast medical center (East side)

im in marianna FL its right off I10 in jackson county about 30 or 35 miles from dothan and yea thats the one i think they ether wanted 200 or 300 its in the pawn shop on south side of the circle i dont know if its still there last time i went to it was like begining of Jan.

Thats my box. Or was my box. I sold the car and they took it out. Yeah, we go to the Marianna caverns there. Not very far from me at all. Drop by the shop next time you are over this way.

might swing by with my friends car and show em the importance of a HO alt:-) you could prolly get a lot of business in marianna and panama theres alot of people bumpin with no HO alts most people dont know enough about car audio to know theres such things as HO alts and that they need em

thanks for the info nate - how much would u charge for say a 180-220 amp alt? also can i install this myself or would i need to take it to a shop?
