All lights are fine,CD plays, radio plays both with low power and high distortion on all 4 channels, The top of the unit around the output IC area is VERY hot and remains so even with the speakers disconnected. What can the problem be?

Additionally, double-checking the wiring is a must. How long does it take for the unit to heat up?
