If I wanted to port my subs could I just drill a 3" hole in my box or do I need to make PVC ports

pvc ports...or u could buy pre made aeroports that all u have to do is cut...aeroports are the best

LOL you could just "drill a hole" but do you know what that would tune to, probally around 150hz and up range, probally make the sub louder but you'll lose everything in sq.

lol at dustin...thats funyn as heck...but yea man u really do need ports, its not that hard

i have the 4 inch kit of that...it has everything except the pipe glue, it even has instructions thats idiot proof

no. you don't just drill a hole in a sealed box to port it.
ports are tuned based on box volume and diameter/length of port, and a ported box is larger than a sealed box for the same sub.
can't make a sealed box ported.
not if you want it to work right.
