I'm going from a single 12" L5 in a ported box in the trunk of an intrepid, to a 12" L7 in the back of a small SUV. The L5 was volume loud, not really "feel it" loud. I'm looking for more of a bass that hits hard and you can feel, not volume loud. The cleaner the better. What style and size of box should i have?
Marshall designed me a box for a 15" L7. It's around 5 cu.ft. ported and tuned to 32hz. Sounds great. Plays low and you can really feel it. I've had it in a sealed box, and ported is by far a better choice on the L7.
