Guys and Girls, need your help. Had an Avital Maxx1 fitted, and shortly after the siren died (it got snow in it!), now had a new siren posted over, the guy said, just chop of the old one, and connect black to black, red to red. The problem is, there are three wires! Black, Red, and Brown. When i connect black and red to siren, the alarm goes off, and i cant stop it, when i connect brown and red, all functions work, but mega quiet. Any suggestions please!?!
hey chris it sounds like one of those wires is a trigger wire for the alarm but any way it should be blk is ground red to brown from the alarm brain. oh are there tw0 little wires comming from the siren that come out and make a loop?if there is cut that wire and it will be louder. if you got the siren from the dealer where you perchased the alarm that should work fine
