ive done it like that before and nothing happened everything was fine but some people reccomend not passing the remote wire to more than two amps. lol you coulndt post the picture on here?

that should be fine. if your worried about it then use a relay.

I would use a relay instead. I usually just say two or more amps and use a relay.

no. a relay is like a switch. but with a switch you flip it manually. a relay uses an electrical signal (remote wire) to flip the switch. This way the only load on the remote wire is the relay and not everything that the realy is powering.

Relays usually have 4 or 5 connectors. two are the coil which activate the relay and should be hooked up to your remote wire from the deck and gound. The other three are your contacts. One will be the source and the other will be switched. When your head unit sends 12v to the coil it activates the contacts in the relay giving voltage from the battery to the other amps. When the head unit is turned off then the coil deactivates the contacts. Hope this helps
