hey guys i have a fosgate punch P5002 amp that i want to wire up to an infinity dual voice coil sub. first of all here are the specs on the fosgate amp:

A»125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)
A»500 watts RMS in bridged mode at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)

and here are the specs for the infinity sub:

recommended power range 75-350 watts RMS (175 watts per coil)

so my question is, since its a two channel amp, i would bridge it and wire it like this: http://www.the12volt.com/images4/woofer_wiring/cropped/1_4ohm_dvc_2ohm.gif

but will i be getting the full 500 watts from the amp? i am thinking no because it puts out 500 watts at 4 ohms and it would be wired at 2 ohms. but then it says the amp will put out 250 watts x 2 at 2 ohms...so im a little confused. any ideas? i havent bought the amp yet, just trying to figure out if this is the amp i want to power the sub. thanks!!

or should i be considering an amp more like this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ROCKFORD-FOSGATE-MONO-900-WATT-AMPLIFIER-MONOBLOCK-2005_W0QQ itemZ5876328117QQcategoryZ64572QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

you can not run that sub like that , it will prob burn amp out, and will cut on and off. You need a 2ohm mono amp if your going to run 1 sub, that other amp is sort of a waste unless you run another sub.
