~1000-1200w strappable amps?

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2296 Registered: Mar-04 | Ok...i'm gonna prolly gonna sell my JBL bp1200.1 for ~$200 shipped and grab a pair of strappable 1000-1200w amps for my SX15. I'm gonna run them a 1ohm strapped for burps (it will be below recommended load, but after box rise it'll be ok) and 4ohm strapped daily. I know of a few strappable amps what will fit the bill...but if you will please list any strappable amps your know. Get me a list going guys. And if you are interested in the bp1200.1, hit me w/ an email. I also have custom built boxes for sale...i need to make some cash to pay for some amps  |

(as a matter of fact, it was in johnny's truck on an xxx12) Plus, I wanna stay in USACi 301-900w classes. that 2500d would put me in 901-1800w. Joseph... As much as i hate to say it, Planet Audio is looking pretty tempting. We did 148.0 w/ a BB1250 on 2 L5 15's in a ranger last weekend. I really wish i would have grabbed a pair of those refurb Viper 1200d's when Ikesound was selling them for $130  |

Gold Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 2774 Registered: Oct-05 | have you considered the kicker kx1200.1? i had the kicker kx1200.1 in a .5 ohm load for a while at first and i had no problem with it. i didn't know how to hook up subs at that time so i wired 2 2ohm subs in parallel to that amp. i had it like that for about a month and i had no problem with it. |

Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Usa Post Number: 1298 Registered: Jan-05 | you could all RE and get the 12.1 amp, dave from re said a single 12.1 could handle a .5ohm load for burps so im sure that 2 strapped could handle a 1ohm load, and they're underrated, dave said he benched the 12.1 with 14.0 volts and got 1426watts from it with only 1%thd. |
