leaning towards the m1005, but is that going to be to much power to one type r (rms 500watts)? but any advice would be appreciated!

rovin,
yeah i have the 4ohms dvc and currently have each ran by a pg xenon 400.1. but i don't have a ho alt. so i don't think i'm getting the full 400wrms, i'm thinking i'm only getting bout 300wrms. i saw you're install (nice by the way) and others and it looks like the subs can handle more power. how much power you think each can handle, bout 600watts? my subs are in a sealed box (still trying to build a ported) and when played they sound pretty loud but the subs themselves barely even move so i'm thinking they can use more.

also (i'm still new and learning this stuff) but most amps are tested between 14-14.4v. if i don't have a ho alt. how can i tell how much power will i be getting from an amp, say amp is 400wrms at 14v what will i be getting with a stock alt? there any good rule of thumb for est.?

yea 2005 Rs can handle 600wrms easily thats y i too will be upgrading my 1000wrms amp . Read almost 2 the end of my install thread & u will see waht i mean .

when ur engine is @ idle voltage is around 12v or so when ur engine is running (various engines rpm varies too) voltage goes up 14v or so too .

If ur car has a voltage gauage on it u can tell or buy an aftermarket 1 & install it .

Kicker amps r underrated so u should be getting a lil more than 600wrms ....
