Small or big sealed

Had a ? for which size box would be best. I have a pair of Alpine Type R's but do not know what size box to put them in. I want a sealed because they sound better, but should i go bigger then what the spes say (specs say .7 - 1 cu ft. a sub). The boxes i am considering are both separate chambers, sealed, with one having 1.2 cu ft. to a sub, the other with .88 to each.
Any help would be nice, thanx

I would give them both 1 - 1.1 cuft.
assuming a 10"

1.2 cuft will give you a little better low end.

a larger box will also make the sub a little bit more efficient. A larger box will give the sub a deeper less punchier sound. A smaller box will give better midbass transition.

There 12". So a bigger box then what Alpine recommends will make the bass hit harder, i want it to hit really hard so i can feel it.

harder is subjective. if you mean lower, the feeling you feel deep in your body then, well, you really want ported, but a larger sealed will work well for you.

I like large seals better than tiny seals! Alot better, lower hitting too.

i have a large sealed box i would recommend that for you. you will like it and be pleased w/ the deepness of the bass.
