Would a Lanzar Heritage series 1000w, 250w x 2 rms @ 4 ohms be a good combination w/ (2) 13" JL w1v2s?

I've been a fan of Lanzar for years, and I'd like to say yes, but honestly - I think that amp's pretty badly over-rated.

At 4 ohms stereo I'd expect about 150x2 out of it.
If you happen to have a pair of 8 ohm w1's you could bridge the amp for 400w or so - 200 per sub.

Give us a price you'd like to stay under and we can probably give you some better options.
BTW - are those 4 ohm or 8 ohm subs?

Lanzar is VERY GOOD at Audio but that amp sounds over rated!

Optidrive - very good
Heritage - next step down, but not nearly as good, over-rated
Vibe - not supposed to be as good as Heritage, but ratings aren't too bad.
Viberant - still ok for the money, worse ratings.

Ok, I looked at an Optidrive too, and I think it would do a lot better on these subs than the Heritage...considering it's probably the best line Lanzar has? Or at least is better than the Heritage ones. I plan on getting that sub in 4 ohm, but you can get it in 8 ohm too. I just wanted to make sure this stuff would sound alright before I spent my money on it :-)

First off, you do not need more then about 200w max for those subs.I would run the 300/2 or the 500/1 on those. And i would bet that even the 250/1 would push them nicely. It is their entry level sub.

Right, but the Optidrive I'm looking at only pushes like 150-200 rms I think, and the sub is rated at 150w rms and 300w max, so it should be fine, right?

Ok, I might try to get the 13w1v2's instead of the 10's or 12's cuz they're supposed to be 500w max instead of 300w, which would be safer with the Optidrive..I really don't want to blow them up!
