How to fix Power supply?

I sent my Memphis MC1000D Amp too a Car Stereo Store and they told me I needed to replace the power suply unit in the amp but it will cost me $170 to fix. Can I do this myself or does this need a professional?

Not the power supply. go to www.bcae1.com buy the amplifier repair tutorial CD. if you know anything about electronics, you can do it yourself with that tutorial CD. That is, if you can get the parts, and have the tools.
