Hey I have two Alpine Type R 12"s that are 4 ohms and Dual Voice Coil. They are 500 watts rms and 1500 watts peak each. Will this amp overpower them or will it match up well? Hifonics BXi 1606D, It runs 1600 watts which would mean I'd be running 800 watts to each sub, would that blow them out or is it a nice match, please answer back soon,

Thanks...

Yeah that will be okay. Just keep the gain settings low.

ur amp
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=2&series_id=6&family_id=20&item_id=91285&locale=en_US

Rated Power
150 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS
300 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS
600 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms bridged RMS

look @ this i'm not seeing a possible way 2 do it cause ur subs r normally connected this way
Upload
Upload
even if there is a way 2 hook it up - ur amp will be severly underpowering those subs which require 1200wrms combined 2 run well (though they can handle more wrms)

i'd say buy a good MONO amp that can do around 1500wrms @ 1ohm ...
