Truck Won't Start Wit Amp

When i finished installing the amp and tucked the wires, i tryed to turn on my truck (1990 chevy astro)and it started to turn over then it would cut off.When i took off the power wire for the amp and reconnected the battery wire it started!!WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!!! PLZ HELP

sounds like a bad connection. I would put teh power wire back on and make sure your pos connection to the battery itself is solid.

Lol, i was hoping he was gonna say that he couldn't get anything electrical to work, then i coulda made fun of him for doing the same thing i did, not rehooking up the batt. ground connection, i spent 20 frickin minutes trying to figure out what was wrong when i installed my first system, and then i realized i never rehooked the ground wire for my batt., damn did i feel stoopid.
