I'm doing some R+D for my new sub enclosure, and I can handle all the craftsmanship, but how do I make a perfect circular cut for the sub? If I have to hand saw it with a jigsaw I'm sure it will look like crap. Is this the only way? What can I do without buying new tools?

So it's a router then, does home depot rent those for a day? It's just a drill bit attachment right?

I bought a $9 circle cutting attachment for my dremel rotary tool. Haven't tried it yet with 3/4", but it cut 1/4" like butter. Works for up to 12".

Yeah, goes from ~3" to 12". You drill a hole in the center of the circle and the tool cuts the circumference based on the diameter you set it to. You have to be careful measuring/setting the proper diamter b/c the graduations on the tool aren't exactly precise.

For <$11 w/tax (Wal-Mart) I think it's a pretty nice cheap tool.

just be careful and patient. its better to have a round circle that takes 5 minutes to cut out than a blob that took you 45 seconds. ive cut nearly perfect circles with a jigsaw before...

your not going to see the cut out hole anyway, so just use a jig saw. nail, pencil and string work fine for drawing a circle, lol.
