Thanks for reading, guys.
Please tell me which subs will perform better (loudness, low end bass, spl) - with the exception of Chauncey Brown (i've already got his opinion... just looking for other opinions to verify)

Alpine type r 12 or Soundsplinter rl-p 12?

powered by a viper d1200.1 mono 1ohm 1200watts
in a sealed enclosure anywhere from .8 to 1.0 cubic ft.

I know there's a slight price difference, but I'm mainly concerned with overall output and rolloffs, etc.

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Rl-p. it takes quite a bit of experience to get a type R to perform on 1200w daily... plus the rl-p should drop lower. however from seeing TCAB videos the type R has capabilities of getting louder but the rl-p should be a better overall sub.... and i just niticed the enclosure size. i believe the rl-p was designed for small to moderate sized enclosures so that should help too, dont hold me to that point though. im also on oxycotton right now cause i had my wisdom teeth taken out..

I've got type R's. I'm putting them in a ported box, about 1.7 cu. ft. for each sub. But right now I've just got 1 sub in a sealed box, about .9 cu. ft. I've got it hooked to an mrd-m1005 at 4 ohms, which is 700wrms, so it's got plenty of power. and honestly, it sounds like crap. I know from experience the subs sound great in a ported box, and I've heard them sound good in sealed boxes too. But if you're planning on putting one in a box in that range (.8 to 1.0), I would not go with a type R.

Chauncey:

RL-p is my choice on this one and whoever mentioned the CVX. Its not contest as the RL-p performs better in all catergories than the TR. It has a better low end and the high exntension the RL-p has makes it easy to blend in. if you're looking for something better than the RL-p, Stereo Integrity Mag 12 will outdo it all day long.

www.stereointegrity.com

They're more expensive than the two you mentioned but also hands down will beat them. I think Trevor Eaton on here got a Mag, i wonder if he got it yet.
