Would it cause any damage to run multiple grounds off an amp? If not, could each go to the same point, or different points?

if you mean, ground multiple amps in different spots rather then all together at one spot, then its ok, but it could cause problems such as noise. if there is no noise, then your fine.

Would the second point act like an overflow, to say.. like when a dam has an overflow when the water gets to high it goes over to another pond...

You will not gain much if anything; your time would be better spent making sure you have a good ground connection between the battery and chassis, best would be battery to body, then chassis to ground. The closer and shorter the distance between them the better. Basic car electricity.

Keep ground under 5feet. Point 1 and 2 can only help NOT hurt, the more paths for the electrons to flow the better, Electrons flow in the negative direction.

JayB you have the concept of how electrons flow, they act like a humans! (they allways take the quickest way home) they avoid traffic lights (resistance) and take the shortest quickest biggest path!!!
