i was usin a Bass test tones cd on my sub to see what it sounded like and after a few tracks the whole system shut of. Amp power light went of. I took out the fuse from the amp which was a 15 and replaced it with a 20. It works now, though is there likely to be any lasting damage?

I presume that fuse was supposed to be in it, guessin it came with that fuse. though one of my friends set it al up for me so he might have put the fuse in it himself

well from its power ratings it make sense that a 20 should be in there but I am not sure of JBL's actual ratings. what fuse do you have in-line near your nattery?
