I am running a CDT HD62 component set up front and im looking to add rearfill speakers to the rear of a 98 Toyota Camry replacing the stock 6x9's. They will be powered of my premier 860 HU.

I have narrowed it down to these. Please help me choose the one that will work best in this car and application.

Im leaning toward the CDT -6EX's and Infinity Referance 6.5's but ill take your recommendations into consideration also.

James says i could also use my ppi a600.2 and run 150 watt rms to all 4 speakers if i run it in stereo at 300 x 2 @ 2 ohms / If so what do you all think about this set also in comparsion to the others. Only drawback is i wont be able to fade in and out i think and 150 watts rms is alot for rearfill in order to blend in.

I'd stick with CDT for rears, and if you do amp them, use a 4 chanel amp, and bridge it for the rear two channels to run them in mono (in series) to help maintain your stereo imaging in front.

If you want rearfills and good imaging, use Orion 250 G4 amp. That amp supports bandpass mode, great for your application.

Ive decided to use the ppi a600.2 on the IDMAX 12 and send it 600 watts rms @ 4 ohm since i hear this sub is efficiant off this much power.

Ill run my ppi pcx 2200 to my CDT HD62 at 200 x 2 @ 4 ohm

Ill use my HU to run the CDT rearfills

How does that look.

Also im not sure if i want to go sealed or ported on the ID MAX 12 if its going in a trunk of a toyota camry.

MO, I'd use PPI 600.2 for your CDT and PCX2200 on the sub. It's a better amp for full range.
For rear fill, I wouldn't use the HU. What you really need is a bandpass xover. Orion 250G4 offers that. If you pass frequencies above 1K, it'll distort the imaging. Best to pass 150Hz - 1K to the rears.

Isaac, the CDT-HD62 set is rated at Power Handling: 180 watt RMS @ 100Hz High Pass

The PPI PCX 2200 is made to run 200 x 2 @ 4 ohm and be clean power and a better match dont you think ?

The ID MAX 12 is a very touchy sub. Very efficiant and 600 rms is more then enough for this sub.

I emailed CDT and they said that the CDT rearfill whould be fine off the HU and work well.

Besides you know how hard it is to find the 250 g4

PPI 600.2 is 150w x 2 @ 4ohms. From my experience, there aren't too many amps that can sound as clean (Zapco certainly can).
Since human ears can't tell much difference when it comes to low frequencies, PCX2200 should be better for sub application.
That is how I would install them.
If you can't find G4 amps, then pick up an active xover. It will allow bandpass operation.
If you care a lot about imaging, you wouldn't want to send full range to rear fills from HU.

Why whould i sent full range to rearfills of the HU> I have crossover controls for the rearfill of my Pioneer Premier 860 and i will set it to 12db @ 150hz or so. I have a crossover control for the front, rear, sub on this HU.

Also the PPI 600.2 is 150 x 2 @ 4 ohm / 300 x 2 @ 2 ohm / and 600 x 1 @ 4 ohm bridged and run the crossover from the HU at 18db @ 80hz for the ID MAX 12 sealed which will not even need a subsonic filter.

Ive decided on the CDT CL-6EX for the rearfill to replace the 6x9's and will be powered off my Pioneer Premier and it will be crossed over at 12db @ 100hz or whatever sounds best off the HU.
