I am upgrading my alternator to a new 200amp. Which wires will need to be replaced? (battery,alt wires, starter?) What auto shops would change these wires out for me and estimated price??
Im not sure on the estimated price. I normally do all my work myself. They need to update your big 3 wires.
1)battery POS to alternator! 2)battery NEG to engine ground or alternator case! 3)battery NEG to chasis or body!
I would also use atleast 2 gauge but 0 gauge would be best. Your starter wire will be just fine; just remember to use the correct wire sizes & fuses depending on your current draw to the back of the car.
