New member Username: AkacPost Number: 9 Registered: Jan-06 | right now im looking to upgrade all my wires for my car. i have two amps and two 8gage power wires for them. i want to run one wire from the battery to the cap and then split off the cap to both amps. the wire has to travel 12-15 feet i was thinking 2gage for that but would it hurt to run a 1/0? im running two RF punch x500.2 for my subs (type r 12" 4ohms) and want to also add a RF punch 200.4 later on this spring for my speakers. would 2gage be able to handle all three amps? im also getting a 225amp alt from nate and would 1/0gage be good for upgrading the big 3 or is that overkill? |

Silver Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 982 Registered: Feb-05 | 1/0 will be easier to find and prob cost the same as 2awg and it won't hurt anything. the bigger the better. run 1/0 from batt to cap, then split off of the cap with 4awg to the amps. 1/0 for the big 3 upgrade will be good too. |
