i got a dvd player for my truck and mounted it in the dash, i am trying to use it as my main audio source it has no built in amp so i installed a fosgate amp to power my speakers but on the back of the dvd player there is no remote wire, my question is there anyway to get around using an amp without the remote?

The remote wire (REM) needs to go to a power source that is off when the car's ignition is off and on when the ignition is turned. The purpose is to tell the amp when to turn on and off. If you know another place to hook that wire up in your car do it there
