860MP Problem

Today I was taking out my head unit, then I heard some noise over the speakers, like a scraping sound, and then the unit turned off. The faceplate came down like it normally would when I turned the car off but it will not power back on. After this happened I took the unit completely out and made sure that all the connections were solid, and nothing changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Was the battery disconnected while you were taking out your head unit? And what was still connected? The wiring harness?

Everything was still connected. The problem was when I would hit a bump the stereo would cut in and out so I was trying to figure out the problem and then it got worse.

I don't understand why the faceplate would come down and then go back up but not power back on.

I'm really sure the ignition wire (red) is loose somewhere in the car, if not in the back of the unit.
