Why do you only want 1 10"? You said you wanted something with a lot of power so you will be better off going with 1 12" or 1 15". What kind of bass are you looking for? SQ, SPL, etc.

btw, with that budget, you can have a NICE system. You can get a big amp, nice sub or two, and an HO alternator along with wiring and box. What kind of car/truck is it going in to?

"...im in highschool so dont have a lot of money..so the price range is 2000 and down"

Look man if your in highschool and you have $2000 set aside, our definitions of not having a lot of money while in highschool are way different.

sub : 12'' re mt www.reaudio.com
amp : http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13472
hu :http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13803
then you'll need a h.o. alternator and you'll need some speakers and all your wiring

spl = sound pressure level ( how loud ur system is ) , the 12'' will be around $250 , you will need to get a nice ported box , and a mono amp that gives out 1000 - 1200 watts at 1 ohm

I'd say go with the MT and the 2500D like Casey recommended earlier. That will get EXTREMELY loud

If its $2000 u want 2 spend on a single sub & amp but not crazy loud like u said - i'd get a JL 1000/1 amp & a JL 13w7 sub . Both would cost$ around $1300 or less ...
